If you're like a lot of local musicians, you probably don't have financial backing and just want to get your material recorded in a real studio rather than someone's basement or garage. Maybe you've even tried to record your material yourself only to discover that you don't get the quality of sound you want. I've had lots people bring me garage recordings or those where the group did it themselves, even ones recorded by some tech school hoping that I can somehow fix what's wrong. Usually the only answer is to do it the right way in the first place, which means using PROFESSIONAL equipment in a PROFESSIONAL facility with a PROFESSIONAL producer.
Here's the way the package works:
- You'll get FOUR FULL HOURS to work on your favorite material recorded in crystal clear digital audio in rooms with amazing acoustics using AKG, Neumann & Audix microphones with a PreSonus digital preamp. We'll use multiple tracks to record the drums of course, then use the others for guitar, bass, keyboard, sax, strings, vocals, Hawaiian Nose Flute or whatever.
- Depending on how much time you use for recording during the four hours, we'll use the rest to mix your music, adjust the EQ & output levels for each track and select just the right effects. This is a very important & involved process after which your material is digitally mastered onto FOUR Taiyo Yuden professional quality CD's at no additional charge.
- Due to the time required for mixing, mastering and burning the final CD's, you must have a realistic expectation of the number of songs to be completed within the four hours. Depending on the type of material and total number of tracks, producing a final CD with even one song from start to finish is a lot of work in four hours. Of course every project is unique and time requirements vary.
- If you're working on a full CD, you can either buy additional FOUR HOUR blocks for $200 or if you only need a few more hours to finish, you can buy more time at the best hourly rate of any PRO studio in the Pacific Northwest. This could be a great way for you to complete an entire CD and could cost as little a few hundred dollars.
Of course every project is different and the time required for each phase varies, largely dependent on how well your group performs in the studio and how much time you want to spend in post - production. While we can't guarantee it, if you come to the studio prepared and perform well, you could record your material and have the final CD's the very same day.
